Welcome to the Smutty Girls Book Club. We’re a group of Manhattan-based gals who love sex and the city equally. We’re creating a throwback book club to celebrate art, eroticism, friendship, and our bodies.

Every few months we vote on a new sex-positive book to read: erotic novels, memoirs, non-fiction, or just plain smut! We’re here for it all!

Everyone has two months to read each book - plenty of time to indulge and finish. When we reach the halfway point (one month in), we get together for a “Mid-Way Meet Up” - daytime coffee with a little book and girl talk. When we finish (two months in), we celebrate with a “Happy Ending Hoorah” - a girls night out to drink and dish! In either setting, we share our thoughts, opinions, meditations, and personal experiences.

So break out your best outfit and bring an open mind. We’re going to get smutty!

Our Mission:

People are having less sex. We’re spending more time on our phones, and less time on top of each other. We can’t solve the problem completely, but we can do our part. In our view, a better connected and more sexually liberated society would be a better one.

Yes, it’s like female fight club, only smuttier! But we don’t hide in shame, we wear our smutty desires proudly! So please share the love and invite your friends. The more the merrier, and the smuttier the better!

The #2 rule of Book Club: Bring an open mind.

Not every book will be for everyone, but we’re here to stretch our imaginations and challenge our limits. Remain positive and leave your judgement behind.

The final rule of Book Club: Never fake a finish.

In an ideal world, we all finish…the book, that is. But we understand that life gets busy, books get boring, and not everyone will reach the climax. So if you haven’t finished, there’s no shame in that! Just tell us what could have been better. We’re always open to suggestions and feedback. Don’t be shy.
